You actually don't need to buy a battery from Apple; this one worked great and saved me a lot of money.Very happy with quality. Would buy again from this company.The battery also came with all the tools needed. I was able to install this myself, saved a trip to the repair shop.

OK, I have not done measurements on charge capacity but this battery like every other replacement I've used - does not perform like the original battery as the charge depletes in a few hours.I did only one round of "synchronizing" the battery - complete drain, sit for at least 3 hour, and then recharge to full capacity. The manufacturer recommends doing this process a few times so maybe that would help.
It is recommended that you cycle the charge several times

This replaced a laptop battery that could only be used 1 hour without being charged. The installation wasn't easy because the screw holes were off a fraction though I eventually got the screws in. I followed instructions to charge the battery then discharge it fully and recharge again. This worked to give several hours of use on a charge. I'm pleased.

Excellent, good quality battery, easily installed on a mid-2012 A1278 .The package Came with all the necessary tools. The battery was new only 1 cycle. after 3 days of monitoring it giving me 4 hours vs 3 hours previous very old battery (1200 cycles) was giving me

I can't speak to the longevity of this product as it is new but I can say the install is easy and they provide replacement screws for the back cover -- The trilobe screw driver provided was much appreciated. When analyzed with Coconut battery app this battery has great specs. Nice packaging and good accessory items to make the install super easy.
