The mechanical part of the install was easy. Windows did not recognize the battery at first and I had to do some programming magic to get it working. Not sure what was wrong, but it works fine now and was definitely worth the $40 to save the laptop.

Battery fits drill perfectly, performed as expected. Ordered a Lithium battery which was even better than my original Cd packs. A larger battery this size took several weeks to arrive but this is normal given that the battery is supplied from overseas. Great to be able to replace these at a reasonable price when manufacturers try to push you into a new drill by absurd replacement battery prices :)
